At the University of Barcelona, PAS equipment is managed centrally with OpenGnsys.
The boot is usually done from the hard drive; when maintenance is to be performed, it switches to network boot to display the OpenGnsys start menu.
Upon booting the equipment, just as the hard drive configuration is obtained, a shell script is executed that leaves data about the hardware model accessible by the server.
The start menu takes this data and displays the images available for that hardware and a form with the post-configuration data
On the home page, we see at the bottom right the hardware information of the equipment that has been obtained upon booting.
At the top, we have a dropdown menu where we can choose the model of the equipment so that the images compatible with it are displayed in the image selection list. Additionally, it allows us to configure the post-configuration of the equipment by asking us the name of the equipment, whether we want to update Office, etc.
